Castlecraig Wind Farm in Northern Ireland is set to be fully operational by late summer as the construction phase comes to an end. Owned by sustainable infrastructure investors NTR, the £50 million project has been financed with support from First Trust Bank. Construction has been managed by renewable energy company, RES who will continue to manage the project for NTR over the next 25 years.

Gruig Wind Farm, located near Corkey, Co Antrim has just provided an annual financial contribution towards three local community groups. The wind farm managed by local renewable energy company, RES, on behalf of wind farm owners Glennmont Partners, supports three local groups: Cloughmills Community Action Team, St Anne’s Support Group (Corkey) and the Loughgiel Community Association.

RES (Renewable Energy Systems) has today announced the acquisition of its 20MW energy storage project in Broxburn, West Lothian, by The Renewables Infrastructure Group (TRIG), a London-listed investment company advised by InfraRed Capital Partners. The transaction marks the first energy storage project acquired by TRIG and RES’ fourth project in the UK.
